potter-rific!

potterific!
Hi everyone! :D
Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows was released at 7.01am yesterday.
Saturday, 21st July 2007.
Which Potter fan will forget this date? :]
Where I bought my book: Borders Bookstore at The Curve.
For the first time, I joined my fellow Potter fans and pulled a crazy.
We got there at about 5.30 am.
And guess what?
There were already 20 to 30 people there!
Some people had stayed overnight! Hahaha! Cool!
Saw people in costumes ... saw the great Hogwarts flag ...
By 6.30 am, there were about a hundred people ! :D
It was an amazing experience, I really enjoyed myself!
Chatted with some other fans ... heheh ...
And then, the gates opened at 6.45 am and ...
there was a MAD MAD MAD rush to the front of the store!
People were literally crawling under the quarter-opened grill ...
Scrambling to be first in line in the new queue ...
You see ... hahaha ... the first 7 people would be given a FREE copy!
Thus ... the Malaysian mentality kicked in ...
So many arguments arose ...
I must say ... it was very entertaining!
An amusing experience!
But then ... the Borders grill went up and guess what ...
The people who were not in the queue just ran madly in!
You should have heard the shouting! Hahaha!
Anyway, while the want-to-get-free-book people went to the other counter,
my Dad & I went to the cashier and got the extra RM30 rebate! :D
First 20 (besides the free-book people) get the rebate.
Which means I pay RM 58 in total for my book! :D
Still pretty expensive, but it was totally worth it!
What I got that day :] [pic above]
A recyclable paper bag, a Hedwig beanie soft toy, and The Book!
You know, we suspected this:
Lots of people who showed up that day
Just wanted to get a free book
And weren't true Potter fans!
I felt sorry for the people who camped overnight
And got cut-queue by the people who weren't in the queue
And just wanted something 'FREE'.
:( Very what right!
Anyway ... the book was fantastic!
I read it from 9.36 am to 1.36 am on Saturday. :]
It was really good.
Don't spoil the story for other people!
When the book was released, the first few customers spoiled it!
Bunch of stupid girls turned to the last page
And shouted out the ending.
We were furious!
Anyway, the joy is still in reading the book! :]
